Axess 2 complete a double lift installation at Westfield Stratford City!

Westfield Stratford City will be the largest urban shopping centre in Europe, covering an amazing 1.9 million square feet! With a mixture of stores including big names like John Lewis, Waitrose, Marks & Spencers and a 14-screen Vue cinema, a catchment population of over 4 million is expected.

Axess 2 were approached by Apple and the luxury watch manufacturer Omega to install lifts in their new Westfield Stratford City stores. Each of the clients had their own specific requirements and we had the perfect lift products to suit each application!

Omega opted for a two stop A7 MRL hydraulic platform lift, complete with a bespoke glass and steel structure. Due to site restrictions, the MRL low pit, low headroom lift made the ideal choice. The bespoke lift is an integral part of the store design and the lift cabin is to feature glass display cabinets showcasing some the stores flagship products!

Apple, who already use Axess 2 products in a range of stores chose the A6 enclosed platform lift. The single entry two stop hydraulic lift has automatic anodised aluminium and glass swing doors on the landings and the cabin is finished in one of our standard lift cabin finishes.

Both the lifts are compliant with Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE.
