Leonardo takes centre stage at Omega

Leonardo Hydraulic MRL Lift takes centre stage at Omega boutique!

One of the largest OMEGA boutiques in the world has just opened at Westfield Stratford in London, close to the Olympic Park, and an Axess 2 lift was selected for the  prestigious store.

When Omega approached to Axess 2 with the plans for their new two storey boutique over two years ago we knew then this project was going to be special. The lift solution not only had to be functional and reliable but had to reflect the Omega brand.

Our solution was to install a Leonardo lift in a bespoke glass and steel shaft. Having looked at all the options and the potential usage of the passenger lift, the 6 person through-entry 500kg lift version was chosen.

With the lift and structure being an integral part of the store design, the choice of materials was very important. The 1100×1440 lift cabin was finished in mirrored stainless steel with two glass panoramic walls and had bespoke display cabinets housing some of Omega’s flagship products! On the ground floor the lift structure was clad in glass with mirrored steel components to complete the look. On the first floor the structure disappeared in to a bespoke lift shaft. To add to the designer look and feel, the car has one-touch operating controls and mirrored steel and glass automatic car and landing doors by Prisma (Italy).

To comply with part M and DDA requirements a mirror and a brushed stainless steel hand rail were installed on the sidewall of the lift cabin. The inside of the lift car was illuminated using LED down lights to minimize the power consumption. We also offered an emergency auto dial system from the lift to our control centre giving the users complete piece of mind.

The client was extremely happy with the lift installation and couldn’t express enough how impressed they were with the product quality and craftsmanship.
