The A5 platform lift was carefully chosen to blend in with the surrounding reception area. The lift has 3 sides in our special glass panels and special RAL painted doors which open and close automatically when the lift arrives.

Once again Axess 2 were called by the Print Centre Sunderland, to fulfill there requirements for a lift to serve the ground and first floor modern offices. The remit was to supply a high specification enclosed car pitless lift.
The architect employed saw Axess 2 at a trade show and immediately identified the A6 as the lift he had been searching for.
The lift car has a special granite floor with adjacent entry, both entrances are protected with a full height safety beam that instantly stops the lift if the beam is broken.

Wheelchair Lift Accessibility
When the company opened new offices recently in the prestigious modern Crossingley building at Rosehill, Carlisle, it realised that it needed to comply with the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act to provide wheelchair lift access for less able visitors or employees in two main reception areas.
Leading lift supplier, Axess2 Limited of Clitheroe, Lancashire, was specifically chosen by Edwin Thompson because its A6 Supreme platform lifts have fully enclosed glazed cars providing a contemporary design feature. The 2 lifts feature fully glazed and anodised aluminium shafts which compliment the décor at the prestigious offices. The units were also finished to an extremely high specification which included granite flooring, a laser cut ceiling and brushed stainless steel car wall and handrail. Travel for the units was 3.03m with 2.4m overhead and an embedded pit of just 120mm. The models are powered by 240v 50Hz single phase electricity and are extremely economical in operation.

Axess 2 installed an outdoor A6 with solaplex glass to reflect the heat from the south facing wall that the lift now enhances. The lift is used to access the function room on the 1st floor.
